Refund Policy

Ontario, Canada · Last updated 4 October 2026

Why this exists before you have customers

Three reasons, and the first two are the ones that cost money:

  1. Stripe needs it. A visible refund policy is part of how Stripe assesses

dispute risk. Without one, a chargeback is close to automatically lost.

  1. **Ontario's Consumer Protection Act, 2002 gives rights you cannot write

away.** A policy that pretends otherwise is unenforceable and makes you

look like you are trying it on.

  1. Parents buying training for a child they have never met a coach for will

look for this before they buy. Its absence costs conversions.

The policy

14-day refund on any programme block

Full refund within 14 days of purchase, for any reason, no explanation

required. Email hello@innerathletes.ca.

Fourteen days is roughly four sessions — enough to know whether the child will

actually do it, which is the real question a parent is buying an answer to.

After 14 days

No refund on the remainder of a block. The content has been delivered.

Exception — injury or medical. If the athlete is medically unable to

continue, the unused portion is refunded pro rata on request. No doctor's note

required; we take the parent's word. Arguing with a parent about a child's

injury is not a business we want to be in, and the fraud exposure is trivial

next to the goodwill.

Monthly membership

Cancel any time, self-serve, from the account page. Cancellation stops the

next charge; the current month runs to its end.

We do not refund a month already charged, except where the renewal was

genuinely unexpected — a parent who did not realise it had rolled over gets

that month back, once. That is cheaper than a chargeback and far cheaper than

the review.

The 7-day renewal notice

We email 7 days before the first auto-charge, stating the amount, the

date, and a one-click cancel link. If that email did not go out, the charge is

refunded on request, no questions.

This is not generosity. Negative-option billing is regulated across several Canadian provinces, and a parent who feels tricked into a charge for their child is the single most likely person to dispute it. The notice, and honouring it, is the cheapest protection available.

Tier 3 and the live component

Tier 3 includes Daryl's weekly modules and mental performance work. If those

are not delivered in a given block, that portion is refunded, whether or not

you ask.

What is not refundable

Nothing after 14 days in the absence of injury or an undelivered component

above. We do not refund on the basis that the athlete did not do the programme.

How to request

Email hello@innerathletes.ca with the parent account email. We respond

within 2 business days, and refunds land in 5–10 business days

depending on the bank.

If we have not responded in 2 business days, consider the refund approved —

silence on our side is not a reason you should be out of pocket.

Your rights are not limited by this policy

Nothing here removes a right you have under Ontario's **Consumer Protection

Act, 2002** or any other applicable law. Where this policy and the law

disagree, the law wins. In particular, that Act gives cancellation rights for

certain remote agreements that are not affected by anything written above.
